Force 1 Construction has been serving the greater Kelowna for a very long time. We provide a wide variety of drywall and related services for the commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential markets. We are currently seeking self-motivated individual to fill full-time Drywall Finisher position in our company.

Primary Responsibilities – Drywall Finisher

  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Mix plaster ingredients in trough to desired consistency
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster using trowels & floats.
  • Finish corners and angles in finish coat
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Mould and install cornices and trim
  • Spray acoustic materials or texture finish over walls and ceilings
  • Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster.
  • Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels.
  • Concealing any imperfections or exposed irregularities in the drywall surface.
  • Layering plaster with trowels to create a flat surface.
  • Sanding down rough areas on the wall to create a smooth surface.
  • Skimming the surface with a final layer of plaster in preparation for finishing work.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in the Construction industry as a Drywall Finisher.
  • Familiarity with various hand and power tools like mixer, straightedges, and measuring tapes 
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently 

Trade certification is an asset but not compulsory.

Salary: Based on experience
